MDDE Rail System

The Maryland and Delaware Railroad Company (MDDE) has served the freight rail needs of agricultural and industrial shippers on the Delmarva Peninsula for over 45 years.

We operate four rail lines across Delmarva: the Snow Hill Line between Frankford, DE and Snow Hill, MD; the Seaford Line between Seaford, DE and Cambridge, MD; the Centreville Line between Townsend, DE and Centreville, MD; and the Chestertown Line between Massey, MD and Worton, MD.

Our Class I railroad connection, Norfolk Southern, directly serves 22 states and the District of Columbia, and has connections to every other U.S. Class I railroad and the entire North American freight rail network.

Entry onto property owned or operated by MDDE is generally allowed for the purpose of construction, rehabilitation, surveying and maintenance work of various kinds.
